The Country Run is a 5K fun run brought to you by Corner Store that will bring out your inner cowpoke or cowgirl. Participants are encouraged to don over-the-top country attire and gallop, trot or do-si-do their way across that finish line. Afterwards, everyone is invited to stick around for a family-friendly country fair with live music, food, beer garden, carnival games and giveaways. Beer garden will require ID and wristband access. All participants should bring an ID to check-in.

Where do the proceeds of the race go?

100 percent of proceeds will benefit charitable causes, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, the world’s largest donor and volunteer-supported mentoring network making meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the globe. Additional funds will be donated to local children’s charities in each city.

Is this a timed event?

Yes, for those who choose optional chip timing for an additional $5 upon registration. We will bestow prizes upon the fastest thoroughbreds in several categories. If you’re not into it, no problem. What is chip timing?

When you select chip timing for an additional $5 upon registration, you will receive a bib with an electronic chip that automatically tracks your time. The run is a gun start, which means the clock starts when the race begins, not when you reach the starting line. To ensure the most accurate time, chipped runners should position themselves at the front of the starting block. If you purchased a chip, you will be eligible for awards and able to see your time and ranking at the results tent following the race.

What are the award categories and prizes?
